Theodore Roosevelt Russell Jr. passed away July 19, 2019.  He was affectionately known as "Ted" by his friends. His childhood nickname was June Russell.

Theodore graduated from North College Hill High School.  He served in the military in 1951-1952 during the Korean conflict.  He worked in the construction industry for many years. Theodore later went to school to obtain his Real Estate license.  In achieving this, he was able to own real estate property.  Theodore was also an entrepreneur, where he opened a Barbeque restaurant, laundromat and Beauty Shop with his best friend.  He was also a "Jack of All Trades" and Master of All.  Theodore loved children and was always trying to teach them how to tie their shoes, ride bikes, work on cars and construction equipment as well as drive a car and ride a motorcycle/dirt bike.  He had a great love of soul food, especially pig feet, butter beans, chitterlings and corn bread which he frequently requested from his brother and sister in laws.  Everyone who knew Theodore, knew he loved his Cadillacs and Mercedes Benz.

Theodore was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Sr. and Ellen Russell; as well as his in laws, Reid Sr. & Aline Jerrels; his nephew Russell Sloan; brother in laws -Ron Jerrels, Kelvin Jerrels and Rue Lee Sloan; and great-nephew Martrell Jerrels.

Ted (My Teddy Bear) leaves to cherish & celebrate unforgettable memories his devoted wife of 14 years and best friend of 40 years Cora (his Coba) Williams-Russell; daughters, Barbara and Lisa; sons, Quincy, Theodore III and Turner; sister, Barbara; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, two aunts, Jean Louise and  Pauline; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and brother & sisters in laws.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, August 2, 2019 at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.
