Teresa L. Clay was born on June 30, 1985, and lived a life full of love, laughter, and passion. A proud graduate of Western Hills High School in 2003, Teresa shined as a member of both the cheerleading team and the school band. Her energy and spirit were contagious, and she had a way of making everyone around her feel special.

Teresa was a devoted mother, a loving sister, a cherished friend. She had a deep love for cooking, completing culinary training with dreams of one day owning her own food truck. Her fun, outgoing, and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She truly embraced life and celebrated every moment with joy, especially the time spent with her children, who were the light of her life.

Teresa was preceded in death by her sister, Lavonia Renee Gaines (2015); her grandfather Wilbur Clay Sr. (2020), brother, Kunta Kinte Clay (2024); and cousin, Laquita Harris (2024).

She is survived by her parents, Rosalind Clay and Leon Gaines; her sister, Latisha Gaines; and her beloved children, Malik Sellers, Tamiya Trotter, Jeremiah Trotter, and Lavonia Clay.

Her family, friends, and all who knew her will remember her laughter, her warmth, and the love she shared freely. Teresa's spirit and joy will continue to shine in the hearts of everyone she touched.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation,  beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

At a later date, she will be laid to rest at Baltimore Pike Cemetery, 3200 Costello Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
