Tanika Rachelle Cohill was born June 29, 1976 to Henry L. Cohill and Tina Bristow Cohill in Hamilton, OH. Tanika graduated from Hamilton High School in 1994. Tanika furthered her education and graduated in 2007 from Brown Mackie College located in Cincinnati, OH with an Associate Degree in Applied Science, specifically Medical Assisting. She was also a Certified Medical Assistant with the American Registry of Medical Assistants. Tanika was an employee for 17 years at Mercy Health, first working at the Mercy Healthplex and most recently at Mercy Health Solutions as a Medical Registrar. Tanika also valued donating her time to the American Cancer Society and participating in the Relay for Life. Tanika loved the Lord and accepted Christ at the age of 7 while a member of Israel Baptist Church in Hamilton, OH. She united with the Bridgewater Church in 2008 until her passing. When asked how she felt, Tanika would always say "I'm good". She never let others know about her illness or how she really felt. Everyone could always count on Tanika to greet them with the beautiful smile that always adorned her face. While battling her illness, Tanika truly loved her family, friends and co-workers who supported her and touched her life so deeply. The Lord loved Tanika so much that he called her home to peacefully rest with him on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Tanika is preceded in death by her aunt, Laurie Ann Bristow Green; her grandmother, Idell Bristow; her great grandmother, Verdell Brandon; her great uncle, Benjamin Bristow; her grandfathers, Henry Cohill, Sr. and John Stuckey, Sr. Left to cherish her beautiful memories is her mother, Tina Bristow Cohill; her father, Henry Cohill; her brother, Tairus (Amanda) Cohill; her sisters, Tyla J. Coleman, Kym Bankston Cohill, Crystal Coleman and Christina (Zack) Zeman; her grandmothers, Nona Cohill (Paul) Jones and Lola Mason; her aunts, Marcia Martin, Kecia Williams, Josephine Holifield and Allie Cameron; her uncles, Tyron (Katrina) Cohill, Richard Bristow, John (Kemmeka) Stuckey, Ty (Christine) Stuckey and Terry (Ruthie) Duncan; her niece, Jalyn Cohill; her nephews Darin Cohill, Xavier Cohill and Matthew Marshall; her special father figure, Leonard Coleman; her special cousins Vernell Bristow, Colleen Bristow; her special friends/family, Regina Wilkinson, Mary Ann Smith, RayShawn George; her Godmother, Belinda Warren; her Mercy Heath family, Radiology Department, Health Solutions and Healthplex; her special friends at Fresenius Kidney Care; and a host of other loving family and friends. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:30 am, on March 22, 2017, at Bridge Water Church-Hamilton. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:30 am.
