Born on October 10, 1965, in Covington, Steven’s life was marked by a gentle spirit and a joyful heart.
From his earliest days, Steven delighted in the company of his family and nurtured a special affection for the imaginative worlds of Star Wars and ninjas. His spirited presence was further expressed through running in the Special Olympics, a testament to his courage and determination. Steven found simple pleasures in watching television, playing video games, and sharing endearing moments with his cherished dog, Peppy. His humor was a cherished gift, brightening the lives of those around him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Woodrow and Frances Marshbanks, Loretta Townsend Setty, and his brother Kenny Townsend.
Steven is lovingly remembered by his sister, Scarlet Hudson and her husband Bob; his brother, Michael Townsend; his niece, Nina Allen and her husband Kerrey, along with their five children; nephews Joshua Townsend and his three children, George Townsend and his three children, Shane Townsend and his wife Christy with their child, and Ryan Townsend. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated doctors and nurses of St. Elizabeth Hospital MICU for their compassionate care and kindness shown to our family.
As we honor Steven’s memory, we find comfort in the words of Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
