The one and only son of six Children to the union of Lloyd M. and Egella D. Thomas (Sister Anita Thomas Bryant Mealor) all of which preceded him in death. Steven departed this life Wednesday June 3rd 2015 at UC Hospital surrounded by his loving family he wouldn't have had it any other way. Steven confessed to Christ in early childhood at Rockdale Baptist Church in Avondale. He attended Hays and Porter Schools graduating from Taft High School in 1969 with a certificate in Cosmetology (which he took just to be with the ladies.) Soon after graduating Steven was off to serve his country in the Vietnam War in the United States Army from 1969-1973. He married Leah Regina Williams in 1972. Over the next 13 years he worked for US post Office and UPS. Later divorce and needing a change of life he relocated to San. Antonio, Texas end of 1985. In 1987 Steven met and married Dorothy Hall (who preceded him in death) and for the next 30 years was employed at first Presbyterian Church, visiting home often. After battling illness and coming home for his younger sister Anita Thomas Bryant Mealor home going Steven wanted his life circle to end here so he returned home. He leaves to cherish his memory four daughters, Sheila, Shevonne, Vonnya, Stephona all of Cincinnati, Ohio. Eleven grandchildren, Eight great grandchildren, four sisters Lloyd Jean Williams of San Antonio, TX, Patricia Beard (Clayde) Alfretta C. Peak and Annetta Thomas of Cincinnati, Ohio, One Aunt Margaret Evans and a host of many nieces, nephews and other relatives. I want to give a special Thanks to Bonnie Willis of San Antonio, TX for the care she gave before Steven return home. Visitation is from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm, on Friday, June 19, 2015, at the Walker- Walnut Hills Chapel, 1025 E. McMillan Street , Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 7:00 pm with Rev. Ronald Green officiating. You may express online condolences at www.HerbWalker.com.
