Brother Steve Haire Jr. was born on July 31, 1942, in Livingston, Alabama, to the late Steve Haire Sr. and Alice Haire. After graduating high school, he relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio.

Steve worked in construction for many years, learning the trade from his brother, Willie Haire, and contributing his skills to Willie's company. He became known as a dependable and skilled worker in the field.

He was a member of Phillips Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in the East End, joining under the leadership of Reverend James Ruffin. Though in later years he was unable to attend regularly, he remained rooted in his faith and also spent time studying the teachings of the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Steve was a devoted sports enthusiast, proudly supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers and the L.A. Dodgers. He loved fishing with family and friends—especially for bluegill and bass. A man of many interests, Steve also enjoyed playing cards, particularly Poker, Spades, and Bid Whist.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 54 years, Anna; daughters Lisa (Eric) Molden and Leslie Ann Molden Doumbia; grandchildren Montel, Ebony, Jewel III, Makandian B. Doumbia Jr., and Balla Steve Doumbia; and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Alice Oakley of Cleveland, Ohio; his sister-in-law, Queen Combs of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Willie and Herculee, and his sisters Daisy and Carrie.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
