Steve Terrell Gilbert was born on October 9, 1979 in Cincinnati, Ohio to his parents, Lawanda Gilbert and Delrick Steve Johnson. He was loved by many. Steve was called home on February 1, 2014. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father Delrick Johnson; son Steve Terrell Gilbert Jr.; uncles, aunts, cousins and many others. Steve was a very handsome, loving, caring, sweet, kind hearted, intelligent, silly person, that would do any and everything he could for whomever. He always tried to keep his family close together, no matter what they were going through. He would always tell them we are family and family stick together. He loved to spend time with his family, wife and kids. Steve loved to cap, crack jokes, hang out, play pool, and just simply have fun. Steve will be missed by his wonderful mother, Lawanda Gilbert; beautiful wife, Tasha Gilbert; sisters, Chaz Gilbert, Jessica Johnson, Joyce Johnson, Jaleea Johnson; brother, Delrick Johnson, Jr; five adorable children, Tyshaunn Gilbert, Stevasia Ballard, Tashai Gilbert, Gregory Gilbert and Tashaud Gilbert; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, stepmother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, friends and many others. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 6 at Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 1025 E. McMillan Street (45206) with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow at Landmark Memorial Gardens.
