Steven Troy Chaney, age 53, was born August 7, 1972, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Paula Chaney Lowery and the late Claude Lee Glass. Steven departed this life on February 20, 2026, taking his flight to the heavenly gates to be with our Lord, where he now rests safely in His arms.

Steven was educated in the Cincinnati Public School System. At an early age, he gave his life to Christ at St. Mary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Joseph Williams. Later in life, Steven moved to Columbus, Ohio, where he reunited with his faith and joined True Vine Church in 2019.

Steven was employed with the city transit system and also operated his own business for a period of time. He was well known for his kind spirit and was loved by many. Steven was also a true and devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his mother, Paula Chaney Lowery; his son, Jaylin Chaney; two grandchildren, Omari and Xyla; his sister, Nikki Chaney; his brother, Gary Deron Chaney; along with a host of extended family members and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

Steven’s life and legacy will continue to live on through all those who loved him.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at House of Hope, 930 Findlay Street, Cincinnati (45214). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
