Spencer Cook was born January 25, 1953 in Sardis Alabama, eventually moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in his teenage years where he went to St. Rita's High School. Spencer devoted his life to Christ early in his life, he worshiped Jesus Christ abundantly and faithfully.

Spencer was the oldest of nine brothers and sisters where he led by example through his strength, knowledge and love.

Spencer was preceded in death by his dear mother, Betty J. Abernathy (Thompson, Cook) and father, Monroe Barnes; two stepfathers, Paul D. Thompson and Woodrow D. Abernathy and his brother, Otis J Cook.

Spencer is survived by his brothers, Bobby, Aaron, Anthony, Coy and Douglas (lsmai Abdull) Cook; and two sisters, Naomi Cook and Patricia Thompson. Spencer is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunties and cousins.
