Sophia Georges, 86, was born on April 9, 1940 to the late Yianni and Diamanto Sakellariou. She passed away on June 25, 2026. Sophia was the beloved wife of the late Kyriakos Georges; she is survived by her children, Katerina (Tom), Diamanto (Kyriakos), Pete (Anna); cherished grandmother of Evangelos (Viviana), Kyriakos (Dimitra), Andreas, Eleni, Pete, Yianni, Sophia, Thalia, Kyriakos and great granddaughter to Katerina. Also survived by her loving sister, Pitsa and family. She was born in Alepochori, Greece and there is where she met her love, Charlie. She adored him from the moment she met him, until the day he died. She spent many years at their restaurant, Sophia’s, creating delicious homemade meals, including her popular Greek dressing. Her joy in life was cooking and baking. She loved sharing her food with friends and family. She will be remembered for her kindness, beautiful smile and humor.

Private services were held on July 3, 2026. In honor of her memory, memorials may be sent to Holy Trinity – Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 7000 Winton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45224.
