Zion Missionary Baptist Church 40 Coral Avenue - Glendale, OH - 45246 Shirley 'Bogie' Villary was born on December 27, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio to John and Mary Bogie. Shirley was saved at the age of 25 and never looked back. She has been saved for 50 years. She was ordained for 20 of those years. Shirley had many spiritual gifts including laying on holy hands for healing and casting out devils. She did street witnessing, nursing home, and prison ministry. Shirley was a pioneer and a prayer warrior. Nine days after her 75th birthday, she was dancing in church praising God, sat down and went home with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Bogie and husbands, Ray Lee Villary and Owen Carnes. To the union of Owen Carnes, six children were born: three daughters, Lisa Carnes (Robert) Williams, Gina Hunter of Houston, TX, Tracie (Lee) Dixon of Houston, TX; three sons, Jeff and Darren Carnes of Cincinnati, OH, and Mark (Jewel) Carnes of Fort Worth, TX She leaves twelve grandchildren, Tiffany Culberson, Christopher Carnes, Felipe Perez, Deja Carnes, Demetrius Carnes, Brianna Hunter, Jasmine, Aaron and Jessica Summerour, Evan, Brandon and Cameron Bogie, along with eleven great-grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish three sisters, Phyllis Johnson of California, Linda Winsted (William) of Cincinnati, OH, and Brenda Powell of Chicago, IL; one brother, Clarence Powell (Betty) of Washington, DC. Also two loving lifetime friends, Beverly Seay and Tina Jefferson, and a host of in-laws, other relatives and friends.
