IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shirley Diane

September 13, 1957 – July 10, 2025
Shirley Diane Maye was born on September 13, 1957, in Greensboro, Alabama, to Altha Maye and the late Richard Maye, Sr. She was the eldest child and only daughter in her family, with one brother, Richard "Bubba," who preceded her in death in 2023. For over 20 years, Shirley was a dedicated caregiver, passionately working with the Red Cross.
Known for her sense of humor, joyful laugh, and unique purple hair, Shirley had a remarkable ability to light up any room. She loved everyone around her.
Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Richard Maye, Sr., and his wife, Carolina Maye. She leaves to cherish her memories her only son, Rayshawn, Sr. (daughter-in-law, Erlisa King); three grandchildren, Rayshawn, Jr. (Veagela), Rashod, and Rayshylah Maye; two great-grandchildren, Rayshawn, III and Hasia; her mother, Altha Maye; Skye Foggie; four step-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
