On December 19, 1939, Shirley Lee (Frazier) Thompson was born to the union of John William and Della Mae "Fife" Frazier in Covington, KY.   She reunited with her parents in heaven on June 2, 2020, at St. Elizabeth Covington Hospital, with her loving family by her side.

Shirley was baptized at an early age at Zion Baptist Church in Walton, KY, where she later taught Sunday School.  Upon relocating to Covington, she moved her letter to Ninth Street Baptist Church.

Shirley married James Melvin Thompson on September 18, 1971.  To this union was born two children James Scott and Angela Edel Thompson.

Shirley retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 1995 as a Supervisor.  She later worked at Kmart until her health deteriorated.

Shirley was a caring, compassionate, sweet, and loving woman.  She always had a smile on her face.  She was loved by all who knew her. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Shirley will be deeply missed!

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, John and Della Frazier and brothers, William L. and Harry R. Frazier, Sr.

Shirley leaves to cherish one brother, Jeffrey (Emma) Johnson, Hopkinsville, KY; two daughters, Vickie Frazier and Angela Thompson, Covington, KY; two sons, William (Donna) Frazier, Covington, KY and James Scott (Sienna) Thompson, Florence, KY; one stepdaughter, Vicky (Maurice) Peppers, Cincinnati, OH; one stepson, David Hambrick, Cincinnati, OH; 12 grandchildren; one god granddaughter; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation is from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm on Friday, June 12, 2020, at the Walker Funeral Home - Northern Kentucky, 1129 Garrard Street, Covington  (41011).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 12:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Mary E. Smith Cemetery, 1120 Martin Luther King Blvd., Elsmere, Kentucky 41018.
