Shirley Bedford, 62, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on December 17, 2025. She was born on February 4, 1963, to the union of Raymond and Rosemary Bedford in Newport, Kentucky, who preceded her in death. Shirley was the tenth of eleven children born to that union: Patricia, Adija, Barry, Sr., Leon, Louis, Jack, Sr., Robert, Sr., Dennis, Sr., Sam, Sr., and Kim, all of whom, except her baby sister, Kim, have preceded her in death.

Shirley was educated in the Cincinnati Public School System, graduating from Aiken Senior High School in 1979.

Shirley was a wonderful person and loved her family, which she did without any hesitation. She took care of both her parents while they were ill until God called each of them home. She enjoyed cooking and kept her neighbors well fed.

Shirley loved her job as well. She first drove for Cincinnati Public Schools. She later became employed by Sorta Metro transportation, where she worked for more than 25 years before she retired.

Shirley could light up any room she walked into. She was always of service to others. She leaves to mourn her memory her baby sister, Kimberly Dixon, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy  (45231). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation,  beginning at 3:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
