Sherry Corrine Harrison was born on October 6, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the union of Otis Toliver Sr. (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Vernace Sanders (Mississippi). She graduated from Aiken High School and briefly attended the University of Cincinnati for Nursing.

Sherry came to know Christ Jesus at an early age under Pastor Donald Jones of Greater New Hope MBC. Later, she became an active member of St. Mark MBC under Pastor Cecil Ferrell, serving on the nursing guild and usher board until her health declined.

Sherry was united in marriage to Kirk Smith Sr., and through this union, two children were born: LaShawnda and Kirk Smith Jr. She later remarried Jeffrey L. Harrison, blending two families together for 27 years until the Lord called her home.

Sherry was a kind, quiet, and private person, often found knitting blankets for babies or brushing her Yorkie Poo, Shugah. She had a big heart and loved unconditionally, seeing only the good in everyone who crossed her path.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and her twin brother, Gerry D. Toliver. She leaves to celebrate her homegoing: her husband, Rev. Jeffrey L. Harrison; brother, Otis Toliver; children, LaShawnda Smith, Kirk Smith Jr., LaShonda Housley (Harvey), JeMarrien Harrison (Jenn), and Takako Bostic (Desmond); grandchildren, Brandon Smith (Shayla), Kiara Hampton (Nicolas), Yahmell Smith, Karneysia Smith, Kirk Smith III, Rian Thomas, Jaiden Thomas, Desmond Bostic II, Autumn Bostic, and Brooklyn Bostic; six great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the St Mark Missionary Baptist Church, 2365 Compton Road, Cincinnati  (45231).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232.
