Shawntase Maurice Beavers, also known as "Man-Man," witnessed the sun rising on February 10th, 1989, and it set on December 23, 2023, at the age of 34. He resided in Cincinnati, Ohio, and completed high school, working numerous jobs. Shawntase loved to dance, dress nicely, and cherished his children and his bearded dragon lizards. He enjoyed having fun with family and embracing life. He always had a plan.

Shawntase is survived by his mother, Earlena Johnson Groomes, father Adolphous Beavers, step father Roggie Groomes, sisters Sylvia Johnson, Cortnei Beavers, Padrann Thomas, Docela Macpherson, Emmi Groomes, brothers Leonard Johnson, Docquase Bates, Darius Hiard, Emori Groomes, grandmothers Barbara Prince and Sylvia Colbert, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Shawntase leaves behind four children: Shawnquez Beavers-Jones and his mother Chanel Jones, Amicia Green; Shawntase Beavers, Jr. and their mother Alicia Green; and Syla Latimer and her mother (rest in peace) Sheron Latimer. Shawntase is on his way home to join his brother Leontae Johnson, David Carter, as well as his grandfather Earl Lewis.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Friday, January 5, 2024, at the House of Joy, 3220 Central Parkway, Cincinnati  (45225).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery, 3701 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220.
