IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sharon Ann
Williams
March 5, 1959 – August 12, 2025
Sharon Ann English Williams was born on March 5, 1959, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Mary "Fatts" Elizabeth Cunningham English Ross and Calvin English II. She was the third-born of her siblings: Lucy "Tammy" Smith, Calvin "Buster" English III, and her baby brother Robert "Man" Williams Jr.
Sharon accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was educated in the Cincinnati Public School System until she gave birth to her "Beautiful Dark Red Apple," her son, Reco Sr. She later returned to Taft High School for her senior year.
Her heart was always huge and loving. With her beauty, amazing smile, and chic ways, it came naturally for people to enjoy themselves around her. Sharon always worked hard, and with her crafts instilled by Mama "Fatts," she always kept "Nee Mo" fed. She was first employed at a dry cleaners and later became a bartender, a job she truly loved.
She married the late Floyd Williams Jr., who brought Yolanda, Shawndella, Floyd III, Felisha, Ferlando, Sheronda, Marquez, the late "Cupcake" Francenya, and Lamar into her life. Sharon embraced them as her own.
Sharon's spirits were always high, even after suffering seizures and two strokes that confined her to a wheelchair. She never stopped hustling or living life to the fullest, doing whatever she wanted. She later became a supervisor at WRC, a position she loved.
Sharon, Mama "Fatts," and Tammy shared a love for Jazz Festivals. They showed up and showed out every time, with the kids right alongside them. Sharon had a heart of gold for her family and friends. She was famous for her legendary sleepover weekends that everyone looked forward to. She would pop up at loved ones' schools and games, volunteering to chaperone field trips and showing her love. She cherished gathering the kids, taking them places, and just having them around—even if it meant a quick stop at H&M.
She took pride in reading the Word of God and praying several times a day. Alongside her late fiancé, James "Uncle Nosy" Ellis Sims, she attended Ninth Street Baptist Church. When they weren't working for the Lord, they were out enjoying life together as if they were still young.
