OBITUARY Sharon Elizabeth Butts was born on May 22, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late William Ray Butts and the late Mary Elizabeth Butts. On June 13, Sharon was called home to be with the Lord at the age of 63. Sharon received Jesus Christ at an early age and loved going to church. Sharon was the eleventh of thirteen children. Sharon or "Flubby" as friends and family called her attended Robert A. Taft High School and received her diploma in 1970. She was employed with Longview State Hospital as a Psychiatric Aide and years later worked at Head Start as a Teacher Assistance. In 1974, Sharon left Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to Washington, D.C., where she lived off and on for eight years and also spend two years in Baton Rouge, Louisiana before returning back home to Cincinnati, Ohio along with her two sons Douglas and Mark Jackson, who were her pride and Joy. Sharon's interests and hobbies were reading, cooking, playing sudoku, crossword puzzles, listening to music and watching television. Sharon was an avid reader of various cook books, cooking magazines and collecting recipes from her family and friends and several other sources. Her favorite television networks were The Food Network, The Cooking Channel, The Syfy Channel, Chillers and her favorite television show was The Simpsons. Preceding Sharon in death were her parents, William and Mary Butts. Her sisters: Barbara (Xenocrates) Stuckey, Geraldine (Robert) Payne and Betty (Aaron) Greenlee. Her brothers: Ellis Gamble, Wallace Gamble and William S. Butts. She leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Douglas B. Jackson and Mark E. Jackson. Her sisters: Brenda (Charles) Emery, Karen (Ronald) Patterson and Dorothy Butts. Her brothers: Billy R. Butts and Folis Butts and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. Pallbearers: Kenneth Boone, Oscar Boone, Oko Emery, Kendall Richard, Rayshawn Lovett, John Render. Honorary Pallbearers: Douglas B. Jackson, Mark E. Jackson, Lumo Emery, Lumo Emery, Jr., Charles Emery, Sr. , Antonio L. Butts Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Friday, June 26, 2015, at the Walker - Findlay Street Chapel, 930 Findlay Street, Cincinnati (45214). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am with Rev. Courtney Myrick officiating. Interment is in Vine Street Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio.
