Sharnaee Denise
Meadows
September 1, 1968 – February 20, 2026
Sharnaee Denise “Niecy” Meadows was born on September 1, 1968, to Bernice Murray (Meadows) and James Murray. Niecy was a source of joy from the very beginning. Raised in faith, she was a proud member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church during her youth, where she built a spiritual foundation that remained with her throughout life
Niecy was known for her love of cooking, often bringing family and friends together around meals prepared with care and seasoned with love. She was truly the life of the party — her energy, humor, and vibrant personality could light up any room. Nice, loving, and outspoken, she never hesitated to speak her mind. Her strength, honesty, and generous heart made her someone people naturally gravitated toward.
She leaves to cherish her memory her three children: Martize Meadows; Chazman Cannady (Brittany); and Erica Cannady. She also leaves behind her granddaughters, Jazzman and Ella Cannady; her sister, Yolanda Owensby (Rodney-Deceased); two nephews, Dion Meadows and Leonard (LJ) Meadows; two nieces, Aaliyah Montgomery and Jalen Owensby. She also leaves behind her lifelong best friend, Antonia “Tonie” Roberts, with whom she shared a sister-like bond from childhood until her untimely passing, her beloved godson, Lavelle Roberts, and a host of other close family members and loved ones.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who loved her. She will be missed and forever remembered
