Selinthia Ann Collins (lovingly known as "Lent") was born on April 11, 1977, to Sandra A. Collins and Walter Madaris.

Lent was the favorite child, as her brothers would say, but she was the youngest and the baby girl of the three. She loved shopping, dancing, and music. Especially reggae and old-school music. If and when she attended gatherings, she was always the life of the party, either cracking jokes or just showing everybody love. She always kept it real and did not candy-coat what she liked or didn’t like. For the most part, she kept to herself, but if you were a family member, friend, etc., you could call her, and she would be there for you.

Taking care of people was always a passion for Lent, which is why she worked as a STNA for over 21 years before becoming a Registered Nurse on May 6, 2022. She was always a hard worker and always provided the best care she could to all her residents and patients.

Lent's greatest joy and gift in life was her one and only child, Cor’mari Collins, who was born on February 27, 2011. In true Selinthia fashion, that was an eventful night as well, but with the grace of God and the support of family, she persevered through the trials and tribulations.

Lent was preceded in death by her uncles, Curtis Collinsand Earnest "Ernie" Collins.

Her loving memories will live in the hearts of her beloved daughter, Cor'mari Collins; her mother, Sandra Collins; her father, Walter Madaris; her brothers, Barry "Charlie" Collins, Delrico "Buddy" Collins (Latasha), Delmar Williams (honorary), Greg Lawrence, and Craig Lawrence; sisters, Regina "Toni" Madaris, Cynthia Madaris, and Rasheeda Attis; aunt, Jeanette; and uncles, Edward “Pokey” and Willie. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other family members, and dear friends. Selenthia will be missed by all.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather from 2:00 pm until 2:30 pm, on Friday, September 25, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy (45231). The memorial service will begin at 2:30 pm.
