Obituary

Sean Lenae Mckenzie Brooks was born on December 22, 1963, in Yuma, AZ. She gained her wings on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

She was a former member of Beulah Baptist Church, and was currently a member of Consolation Christian Church until her passing. She graduated from Mt. Healthy High School, and attended Southern Ohio Community College. She most recently worked for U.S. Postal Service for 26 years. She was a Breast Cancer survivor, completing her treatments and ringing the bell on July 31, 2018.

Sean was always the life of the party, enjoying time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, and friends that were like family. She loved Bingo, the Slots, Dominoes and cards. She belonged to the "Party Animals", the "BX Group, the "Cincinnati Flossy Posse", and the "Girls Trip Gang". She lit up every room with her smile.

She married Daryl Brooks, and out of their union had 3 children, Antwan, Aaron, and Amber.

She was preceded in death by her son, Aaron Michael Brooks, and her parents, Agnes I. (Henson) McKenzie and Albert D. McKenzie, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Antwan and Amber Brooks, and extended children, Joseph Dubose, Kiyara Robinson, her sisters, Sheila, Selina, and Stephanie McKenzie, her Sister-in-law, Livian Ramsey (Timothy), her brothers, Deacon Albert D. McKenzie, Pastor Alfred D. McKenzie (the late Rita McKenzie), Allen D. McKenzie, her grandson, JaRon Brooks, and granddaughters, Aaliyah Brooks, Madison Allen, and Kamryn Brooks.

She also leaves her nieces, Miche'al McKenzie, Kam McKenzie, Seantae "Toya" McKenzie, Shaniqua McKenzie, Marquita McKenzie, Rebekka Yisrael, Kayla McKenzie, Shayla Redmon (Charles), her nephews, Eric Randolph (Tijuana), James Shelton, Allen Shelton, Andrew Shelton, Alfred McKenzie, Jr., John Hocker, Jr., Ja'Rell Hocker, Sanchaz Lovett, Jason Brooks, and Aaron Mulholland.

She leaves her "Henson" family from Maryland, and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, "bonus" nieces and nephews, and extended family members.

Visitation is from 9:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Friday, July 25, 2025, at the Vineyard Community Church, 11340 Century Circle E, Cincinnati  (45246).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

Interment will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery, 3117 Victory Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.
