Sandy was born on July 12, 1956, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Henry and Lottie Davis. She departed this life leaving a legacy of warmth, laughter, and an indelible mark of kindness on all who knew her. A proud graduate of Princeton High School (Class of 1974), Sandy carried the friendships and lessons of her youth throughout her life
Sandy was a true beacon of joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She possessed a radiant spirit that effortlessly brought light into every room she entered. Her warmth was infectious, and her presence was a gift that lifted the spirits of those around her. She navigated life with a kindness that left a lasting mark on the hearts of her family and friends. She will be remembered for the love and happiness she so freely shared.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lottie Davis; her daughter, LaShaydra Edmondson; and her siblings, Elizabeth Wells, Jerry Kirksey, David Key, Ruby Crawford and Sheila Thomas.
She leaves a loving family to cherish her memory, including her children, Shareeta Cureton, Lee Cureton (Erica), Lisa Wynn (Archie), Lisha Morris and Karla Potter; her Siblings, Karen Ellis Headen (Richard), Deborah Davis, Jeannie Ellis Mitchell (Charles), Howard Davis (Florence), Donald Ellis, Charlotte Davis Watson (Benny), and Charlene Mays (Paul).
She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Family and friends are cordially invited to a Celebration of Sandy's Life at 12:30 p.m., on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Springdale Parks and Recreation Center, 1099 Lawnview Ave., Cincinnati (45246).
