Sandra Maxberry aka Sandy was born October 15, 1948, to Mary Maxberry and Martin Edwards. She was Mary's only child Sandy grew up Mt. Auburn area of Cincinnati. She had a wonderful childhood. Her grandma Henrietta and mother Mary and Sandy attended First Baptist Church. As a little girl she understood that being kind and giving was the way in life, they opened there home to family or anybody in need. Sandy attended William Howard Taft High School. As an adult she lived life on her on terms. Sandy had fun no matter what the event was whether, it was going to the Mt Auburn Cafe hanging out with family or going to wrestling shows or concerts.

On February 8, 1980, she had her one and only child Shanta, which changed her life forever. Where ever Sandy went, she had her daughter Shanta right by her side. There wasn't a person who met Sandy who didn't like her, she had that its quality that only a few people have. From her younger years to middle age to her golden senior years Sandy enjoyed life. Her favorite past time was watching tv, and to go live shows like Dancing with the Stars or a Broadway musical. Sandy was a great friend and she good friends through out her life, Janet Coleman was Sandys best friend.

Sandy is preceded in death by her mother Mary Mayberry and father Martin Edwards and twins' brothers Donnie and Ronnie Edwards.

She is survived by her daughter Shanta Mayberry her brother Martin Edwards Jr a and a lot cousins the family.

On August 26, 2024 God called Sandy home she on the other side with her loved ones. The family wants to thank people for there prayers at this time.

Visitation is from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on  Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy  (45231).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 3:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
