Sandra (Sandy) Renee Hodges was born on February 15, 1957, to the union of the late Morris (Wesley) and Betty Jean Hodge. She accepted the Lord God and Son of Jesus Christ at a very young age.

Sandra (Sandy) grew up in Woodlawn, Ohio and attended Princeton High School. Sandy then furthered her education by attending and graduating from Wilberforce University in 1979; as well as becoming pledge a part of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority. She graduated with her BA in Education, which drove her steadfast into the love of her life, working with children for the next thirty years in primary education, until her health would not allow her to continue.  Though Sandy had no children of her own, she played a major role in the lives of her nine nieces and nephews.  She was always around for them at 93 West Leslie Avenue.  Sandy truly loved her family, immediate and extended.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Sharon L. Johnson (Calvin); her brother, Michael A. Hodge; nieces, April Hodge, Betty Hodge, Marquita Wilson Davis "Nickie" (Terry), Genevieve Wilson "Gina" and Lillian Wilson (Muff); nephews, Michael Hodge Jr., Leroy K. Wilson III (Karrie), Paul J. Wilson and Elijah Wilson; a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins; and  countless of other family members and friends that will deeply miss her.

Visitation is from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on  Saturday, November 24, 2018, at the Walker Funeral Home - Gilbert Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 3:00 pm.
