Sandra Faye
Douglas
September 21, 1965 – February 28, 2026
On the evening of February 27, 2026, Sandra “Sandy” Faye Douglas, age 60, passed away peacefully in her home in Woodlawn, Ohio. Sandy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Reverend Isiah Evans and Johnie Mae Evans on September 21, 1965. She lived in Cincinnati all of her life. She gave her life to Jesus Christ at an early age, first as a longtime member of Bright Star Community Church and later as an active member of New Highpoint-Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a member until her death.
Sandy has always loved children, and obtained first a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati and later a Masters Degree in Counseling Services from Capella University. Her care for children led her to St. Aloyisius Group Home, where she worked with at-risk youth for many years. She ultimately landed at Cincinnati Children’s Heart Institute, where she worked as a Financial Analyst supporting their mission of caring for children with complex medical needs.
She was a supporter and protector for many; a confidant, listening ear and shoulder to cry on for many more. Sandy was blessed with wisdom and courage when it mattered. We are grateful that she left those qualities with us, now that she is resting in the arms of her Heavenly Father.
She is preceded in death by her beloved mother and sister Johnie Mae Evans and Stephanie Evans. She is survived by her children Brandon Douglas II, Illana Douglas, and Miles Douglas; her father Isiah Evans; her sisters Sheila Flynn and Shauna Hill; her brothers Chadwick (Kaneishia) Evans and Craig (Desiree) Evans; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Also left to mourn her is her children’s father Brandon Douglas.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Bright Star Community Church, 809 Charlotte Street, Cincinnati (45214).
