Samuel Douglas Stacey, age 65, passed away peacefully at his home in Cincinnati, Ohio, on August 21, 2025.

Born on May 26, 1960, in Cincinnati, Doug was known for his big heart, sharp sense of humor, and love of the simple joys in life. He found happiness in fishing, watching football and UFC cage  fights, and spending time with friends. He had a gift for thrifting and was always on the lookout for free treasures—often more excited to give something away than to keep it for himself. Doug was  the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought.

Though he didn't have a traditional career later in life, Doug's days were filled with purpose, laughter, and connection. He was a devoted father to five children: Naomi Nolan, Elizabeth Stacey,  Lisa Stacey, Destiny Stacey, and Nathan McFarland. He was a proud grandfather to many grandchildren and a beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He was the cherished brother of Sandra Charles,  Debra Wilson, and Wanda Cox, and is preceded in death by his brother Darryl Stacey. He was also preceded in death by his mother, Betty Stacey, and his father, Samuel Stacey.

Doug's loyal companion, his Pomeranian Snowball, preceded him in death, and the two are surely reunited now. Doug will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His kindness, humor, and unwavering generosity left a lasting impact on everyone he met.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Walker Funerals and Cremations, 7272 Hamilton Ave., Mt. Healthy 45231.  The Memorial Service will begin at 2:30 p.m. Per Doug's wishes, he will be cremated.
