Samson was born Samson Sabo Ameh on May 25, 1963 in Iyale, Dekina Local Government of KOGI state to late Mr. Daniel Ameh and Mrs. Adi Ameh (ne Edibo). Samson attended several primary schools, but graduated from lyale LGEA primary school in 1976, went to Biraidu Community Secondary School but left in 1979 to join his friends at Idah Government Teachers College and graduated in 1981 as a Grade11 teacher. After teaching for several years he got admission to College of Education Katsina-Ala in Benue state. He then went to Abuja to work at Ibro hotels and found an opportunity to fulfill his American dream by getting a job with the Ministry of External Affairs as a mail courier and his main routes were Embassies United States Embassy included. Even though his NCE, Bachelors Degree, and Post Graduate diploma certificates were not recognized, he stayed patiently in the position until a friend from the American embassy offered him a Visa as a 'Thank You' for his dedication and diligence. He then came to Cincinnati, Ohio on May 13, 2004 to attend his sister's graduation ceremony and stayed. Indeed, he came, he saw, he was distracted for a minute, but God straightened him and he lived life to its fullest, he was happy always reminding us that he is never coming back to 'that your country', and now he died to be laid to rest in his country. Samson became an American citizen in 2012, so he lies here today not just as my brother the Nigerian, but as Samson Sabo Ameh, the American citizen. Samson was a dedicated worker with Kroger for over seven years not known to miss work and rarely called in sick, winning the Employee Of The Year award several times. He was a true Nigerian dedicated to duty, even when he was sick, he would always manage. Mr. Samson Ameh is survived by his mother, two children: Daniel and Helen, nine brothers and sisters: Mr. David Ameh, Mrs. Pauline Baba, Ms. Naomi Yusufu, Mr. Solomon Ameh, Mrs. Juliana Yusufu, Mrs. Elizabeth Odin, Ms. Evelyn, Ms. Caroline and Mrs. Stella, several nieces, nephews and extended family.
