IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Ruthella

Twitty

November 5, 1942 – April 17, 2020

Obituary

Ruthella Twitty was born November 5th, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Elvira Crewett and Edward Chalk.

Ruthella was able to retire from The Hillman Fasteners at the age of 62. She was a hard worker but played harder whether it was in her red convertibles, traveling, amusement park trips or game nights with family and friends. Togetherness was not a foreign act when it came to her beloved mother, Elvira and sister Ardeania. They were like three peas in a pod. The love they embraced and shared with each other ran over to their children and to their children's children.

It's no shocker that red was Grandma's favorite color. Red described her heart that was vibrant, full of benevolence and warmthness. There was nothing blue or cold in her. Grandma was loyal, supportive, generous and always mindful of those she genuinely cared for. I'm certain we can all agree that the greatest gift she gave us was the love that was in her heart.

I would say Grandma gained her wings April 17th, 2020 but if you knew her you would say she already had them because she was truly an angel walking on earth. Sugar and honey were the only things that ran through her veins because she was undoubtedly the sweetest woman you could have ever known.

I'm reminded of the scripture John 14:1-3 today: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in on me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I'm going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."

Let's rejoice and celebrate that we had a delightful chance to experience my grandma and also that she is now called home to be greeted by Jesus and reunited with her loved ones who she deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband Aaron Twitty Sr, siblings Ardeania Marie Franklin and Edward Chalk Jr and her dog, Freckles.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her two sons, Aaron Twitty II and Clifford Chalk; her two grandchildren, Ariyale Twitty and Clifford Chalk Jr along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
