In that union she had four sisters, Bertha Asberry (Leroy), Helen Lee (Andrew), Irene Rousseau (John), and Diane Howell (Ronald); and one brother, Melvin Lyons (Brenda). Ruth married Herman Suggs Sr. in 1962 and had one son, Herman Suggs Jr. that we nicknamed Bud' who both preceded her in death. Ruth worked for Kenners in the early years. She loved to travel, shop and bake; but most of all, she loved her family. Ruth was very smart and giving, ALWAYS trying to help someone. She made an impact on people everywhere. She leaves to cherish her memories: her sisters, Diane Howell and Bertha Ashberry, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
