Russell Leon Bonds Sr. was born in Lilbourn, Missouri on April 14, 1947 to the late Melzenia and Charlie Bonds. He departed this life on October 26, 2014 at his residence. Russell confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Baptist Church in Lilbourn, Missouri. He moved to Cincinnati, Ohio at a young age where he completed primary and secondary education in the Cincinnati Public School District, graduating from Robert A. Taft High School. Russell was a social person who enjoyed being around others. He was known for his love for cooking, sports, and his compassionate loving character. He was a humble man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He could always make everyone laugh with his witty sense of humor and infectious laughter. His love for family was undeniable after many years of separation he was able to reunite with many of his siblings, he was extremely excited due to the fact he was his mothers only child. Russell was a hard working man and worked over 20 years in the health care profession as a certified nursing assistant for various long term care facilities throughout Cincinnati, Ohio from which he retired. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his loving children, Kevin Hamilton, Elizabeth "Shanae" Hamilton, Dietra L. Watson, Russell L. Bonds Jr., Okima"Ki Ki" Bonds, Larteno Bonds, James Matthews, and Mister Bonds. (6) Sisters, Rose-Marie Moore, Ruby Coleman, Doris Brown, Goldean West, Loretta Owens and Marcia West; (1) Brother, Henry West, and special friend Kenneth Burger; He also leaves (21) grandchildren, (6) great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
