Rufus Lattimore passed away August 24, 1999. He was born March 8, 1926 Rufus Latimore was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 8, 1926 to the union of Walter and Alice Lattimore (nee Darby), who preceded him in death. He departed this life on Tuesday, August 24, 1999. Rufus was preceded in death by his brothers, Earl and Pliney Lattimore and Marion Logan; his sisters, Margaret Thompson, Jeannie Rivers and Eutella Toler-Nichols; and his great-grand daughter Paige Stewart. Rufus was an active member of New Beginning Christian Fellowship Center. In May 1998 he was presented with a certificate of dedication for serving many years on the church usher board. He was also an active member of the Masons and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). As a young man, Rufus served in the United States Navy as a Seaman First Class. In June 1946 at the end of World War II he was given an honorable discharge. . Rufus worked for the Cincinnati Preserving Company for 37 years until his health began to fail in 1980. Rufus leaves to cherish is memory: his long time companion, Ms. Nina Roper; one brother, Frank Lattimore (Willie Mae) of Nashville, Tennessee; his children, Larry (Edwina) Brown, Renee (Nate) Lattimore, Sikia Turner, Beverly Kahr, all of Cincinnati, and Yvonne Lattimore of Arlington, Texas; his favorite nieces and nephews, Eleanora Kelly, Antoinette Barnes, Dale and Vincent Toler and Lorenzo and Marvin Watts of Cincinnati. Vernon Toler of Atlanta, Georgia; Mayola Thompson; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his cousins, Ms. Veda Maloney, Carolyn Dawkins, Alvin Costner and Ms Ruth Tomas, sisters and family. He leaves special friends Ernest McCollough, Stanley and Beverly Liscw and Miss Mimi Cohen and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral 930am, Saturday, August 28, 1999 at Joseph R.
