Obituary

Rudolph Owensby (affectionately known as Rudy) was born on January 7, 1962 to Roy and Essie Owensby in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Rudy was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.  He graduated from Taft High school and went on to become a member of Local 265 union hall where he remained so for over 20 years.  In 2013 Rudy put all his knowledge and years of experience into staring his own construction company, R.O. Construction.

Rudolph was a strong family man with a bold emphasis on FAMILY!  He loved to make people laugh, and in his presence, you were sure to smile even if you didn't want to! He was an encouraging inspirational man, who always had words of wisdom to offer.  Rudy always not only maintained a strong relationship with the most  High, but always pursued to make it stronger.  Rudy pushed for continuous improvement in every aspect of his life never settling for just what it is, he was a very driven man with the mind set of not only putting his family on higher ground but keeping them there as well.  To sum up Rudolph Owensby… would be to simply say he was a Phenomenal Man!!!

Preceeded in his death was his father Roy Owensby, mother Essie Kate Owensby, son Xavier Owensby and brothers Randall and Rodney Owensby and sister Theresa Owensby.

Rudolph leaves to cherish his memory his wife Sherri Gillette-Owensby, daughter Daisja Grant, sons Jordan Gillette and Jace Owensby.  His sibling Robert Owensby (Diane), Rodger Owensby (Brenda), Raymond Owensby (Theresa), Netra Owensby (Jerry), Ricky Owensby (Valerie), Vanessa Owensby (Walt), Kim Turner (Al), Regina Owensby (Derrick), Chauncey Barnes (Marilyn).  He also leaves behind a host of aunts and uncle, nieces and nephews and friends.
