Ruby Mae Malone, age 73, of Cincinnati passed away April 1, 2008 at Mercy Franciscan Hospital in Western Hills.  She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on January 24, 1935 to the late Charles Rachel and Mozelle Shaw.   She was the third of eight children.

She met and married Rev. Frederick D. Malone Sr. Together they reared seven children.  She attended Stowe School where she was gifted in Culinary Arts.  She was known as the Barbecue lady because she would barbecue year round.  She dedicated her time in the community, schools, and churches.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Frederick D. Malone Sr, her siblings, Charles Jr, Thomas, Donald, Melvin, and Helen Rachel.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Robert L. (Mary Ann) Rachel Sr, Patricia (Keith) Robbins, Delores (Paul) Cooper, Frederick D. (Denise) Malone III, Moses (Shauna) Malone, Mozelle Malone-Kelly (John), Mary Malone; brother, Samuel Rachel; sister, Delores Rachel; sister-in-law, Josephine, Voyd, Drew.  She leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Service 12 noon, Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Walker Funeral Home- West End Chapel, 930 Findlay Street, Cincinnati 45214. Rev. Carl Behanan officiating.

Interment Baltimore Pike Cemetery.
