Roy Dion Chaney January 23, 1972 - April 24, 2023

Roy Dion Chaney was born on January 23, 1972, in Cincinnati, Ohio to William Roy Ervin and Lynn Marie Chaney-Ellis. He departed his earthly life on April 24, 2023.  Roy attended Cincinnati Public Schools. He was baptized at New Prospect Baptist Church. Roy was a ladies' man and a comedian. He loved to tumble, cook, sing, and "BREAK DANCE". He was a hard worker and very independent. He was an excellent provider and he adored his three daughters and grandchildren.

Roy was united in Holy Matrimony to Shanil Hill-Chaney who preceded him in death. Roy is now reunited with a host of family members who have preceded him, California and Minnie Chaney (maternal grandparents); John and Mildred Ervin (fraternal grandparents); two aunts, Voncille Chaney, and Sherri Ann Chaney-Higgins; two grandchildren, Allen Jr. and Ferniya and stepfather, Gregory Ellis.

Roy leaves to cherish his memories, his three daughters, Laroyia, Kiyana, and Monica; his parents, William Roy Ervin and Lynn Chaney-Ellis; four sisters, Tasha (Mark), Tanaya (Demetrius), Krystal (Robert) and Ivy; four brothers Roy, Demarco, Johnny, and Prince; eight grandsons and one granddaughter and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Also, a special friend Renee Askew.

Visitation is from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on  Friday, May 5, 2023, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 3:00 pm.
