ROSEMARY D. MCGEE WHITFIELD 1943 - 2016 Rosemary D. McGee Whitfield, 73, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 surround by family after a brief battle with cancer. She was born to Jeff and Lucille (Lemmons) McGee on February 11, 1943, in Middletown, Ohio. Rosemary retired from Cincinnati Water Works in 2011. She lovingly helped guide the lives of many of her sons' friends with her motherly advice and open doors. She enjoyed her pets more than anything; all but one is resting beside her as she lay. Also, she enjoyed working cryptograms, traveling to her grandson's football games and spending time with family. Rosemary was our walking calculator and encyclopedia. Rosemary's brashness made her a unique person who was loved by all who came to know her. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Lucille McGee, and a brother, Kenneth McGee. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories four sons: Shade Whitfield, Jewel Whitfield, Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio, Lawrence Whitfield III of Atlanta, Georgia, and Artis Whitfield (Margie) of Pearl River, Louisiana; 13 grandchildren – Steven, Shade, Sharee, Kennedy, Brittany, Trey, Lyle, Lawrence IV, Samson, Artece, Jack, Mark, and Artia; 2 great-grandchildren – Tristan and Arion; two brothers – John (Golden) McGee and Charles (Leeatta) McGee; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Friday, February 26, 2016, at the Church Of The Resurrection, 1619 California Avenue, Cincinnati (45237). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow Woodside Cemetery - Middletown in Middletown, Ohio.
