Roscoe Byrd was born in Portal, Georgia, on November 18, 1951, to John and Dollie (Riggs) Byrd. He departed this life on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at 10:00a.m.
Roscoe graduated from high school in Portal and later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, in the early 70's. He soon joined Mt Olive Holy Temple and was a member for several years. In 2008, Roscoe joined Power and Faith Ministries where he was later baptized in the Holy Spirit. Roscoe was also ordained a trustee and later appointed as one of Power and Faith Ministries' Financial Administrators. Roscoe loved his church and enjoyed working with the men's group (Joshua Generation). Roscoe was employed at Continental Can and Packaging, and during this tenure he was elected Union President three times. He retired after 33 years of service. Roscoe loved traveling and attending car shows. He was a great father who loved his sons, grandchildren, and godchildren. He couldn't help but smile when he talked about them. In 1980, Roscoe married the love of his live Joyce Leaysha.
Roscoe was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dollie Byrd, his siblings, Walter Byrd, Albert Byrd, Carrie Mosely, Bill Byrd, Leroy Byrd, Earlene Lee and Almareen Williams.
Left to celebrate the life and cherish the precious memories of Roscoe Byrd are: His beloved wife Joyce Leaysha Byrd; sons, Antonio Byrd and Davon Byrd, Cincinnati, Ohio; goddaughter, Tri'Asha Figg, Cincinnati, Ohio; godson Eugene Clendening, Houston, Texas; brother Willie D. "Mick" Byrd, Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters-in-law, Beatrice Byrd, Metter, Georgia, and Linda Malcolm, Cleveland, Ohio; five grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, December 28, 2020 at the Power & Faith Ministries, 8120 Hamilton Avenue-Mt Healthy Plaza, Mt. Healthy, Ohio (45231). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Everyone attending must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, 11200 Princeton Pike, Springdale, 45246.
In keeping with the Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions masks are required in order to enter the service and social distancing must be practiced. Please be prepared to comply for the safety of all.
