Ronald "Ronnie" Ushery was born February 19, 1956, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Ann (Perry) Ushery and the late Willie F. Ushery. He departed this life on March 23, 2013. He was 57. Ronnie was baptized at Golden Leaf Baptist Church at an early age. He graduated from Woodward High School in 1975. Growing up, Ronnie was a mischievous little character full of jokes and stories. He grew up under the protective eye of a very strong father who taught him to be respectful and hardworking. He spent most of his life living in Bond Hill and hanging out with his childhood and family on Newfield Avenue. Ronnie could be seen walking around town in one of his many favorite "Kango" hats, he was hardly ever seen without one. He took great pride in a lot of things, but the most important things was his family, especially his daughter, Teanna. He took pride and enjoyment in being a father, having a good bond with her, and being part of her life while watching her grow up. He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Ann Ushery; daughter, Teanna; brother, Alan Perry; loving cousins, Wilie James Ushery, Lavell Ushery, and Earl Ushery; aunts, Lizzie B. (Johnny) Askew of Crawfordville, Georgia, Shirley (Robert) White of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ruby Ushery of Atlanta, Georgia, and Margaret (Robert) Dunston of Washington, DC; uncle James (Ola Mae) Ushery of Atlanta, Georgia, and close friends, Kenny Allen, Anthony Morris, and a host of cousins, family, and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 3 at Golden Leaf Baptist Church, 5910 Argus Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45224. The Rev. Carl P. Adkins, Senior Pastor, will officiate.
