Robert L. Tingle, Jr. was born on December 12, 1963 in Meridian, Mississippi and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of five. He was the son of Lillie O. Tingle and Robert L. Tingle, Sr. He departed this life on Sunday, June 14, 2026.

Robert accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was very knowledgeable and attended Walnut Hills High School where he really enjoyed math. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati and worked in I.T. as a software developer. He retired in June 2025. Robert was the loving father of eight children. He felt that raising his children was what fulfilled him the most. Robert married Faith Tingle in 2009 and became a part of a blended family. Robert enjoyed traveling, watching sports, dancing and music. In his youth, he performed with the Cincinnati Boychoir. Robert and his wife found a chuch home, which he enjoyed very much. He also loved his church family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Tingle, Sr. and his sister Debra Gooden. He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Lillie O. Tingle; wife, Faith Tingle; his children, Shyla Spurlock, Robert Rogers, Daniel Rodgers (Q), Candis Tingle, Christopher Scott, Stephan Tingle, Ricardo Tingle, and Tevin Tingle; stepsons, Mark Straughn (Nicole), Michael Straughn, and Montez Straughn; two sisters, Wanda Wallace (Leland) and Monessa Rogers; mother-in-law, Yvonne Tipper; brothers-in-law, Eric Washington and Randy Washington (Andrea); sister-in-law, Stella Washington; special friend, Angela Pickett (Terrance) and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and many dear friends. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a generous, loving and kind-hearted man.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of Cumminsville, 3640 Roll Avenue, Cincinnati (45223). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.

He will be laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232.
