Dorsey was born on December 31, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of the late Earl and Essie Dorsey. He departed this life on the 10th of July, 2017. Whereas God in his infinite wisdom welcomed him home. He confessed Christ as his personal savior at an early age. He was preceded in death by his brother, George Earl Dorsey. Robert graduated from Taft High School with honors where he excelled at football and received a full scholarship to Central State. Upon completing college, he began working for the railroad afterwards he worked for Spaulding Lighting Company. He worked fifteen years at Doscher's Candies until his untimely death. He was known as "Robert The Suave." Robert was united in marriage to Beverly Walton. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Beverly Dorsey, sister, Essie Jackson, uncle, Clarence D. Mixon, Sr; children, Latasha (George), Robert Earl, Lakesha, Darius, and Makeba; sister-in-laws, Pam, Sandra, Denise, Darlene, and Deondra; brother-in-law, Johnny; eighteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
