Robert (aka Bobby or Bob) was born November 10, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Robert and Clara Cummings.  He passed away Friday September 28, 2018 at the Lincoln Crawford Nursing Home where he resided for more than 17 years.

Bobby was a very quiet and personal person.  Growing up with Bobby as an older brother wasn't always easy for us.  He would constantly rebuke us, but let anyone else even look at us funny and Bobby would be on our side whatever may come.  Bobby was good to his friends and employers.  Bobby worked at "Shillito's, Lazarus, and Macy's" as a merchandiser for many years until his health became an issue.

Bobby was a 1966 Withrow High School graduate, and an attendee of the University of Cincinnati evening college.  He loved a debate.  Whatever stand you took, Bobby would take the opposing side and defend it until you gave in, then he would change to your side and argue on that side, so the debate never ended.  Bobby loved roller skating, music, good food, elegant things, travel and more importantly the Lord. He was a warm, quiet person who made his mark in the world not with grand gestures or fancy titles but by the basic goodness and generosity of his character, by the quality of his involvement with fellow man and how he brought out these qualities in others.

There were many wonderful aspects to Bobby's life and many ways that he touched our lives.  He will be remembered as a wonderful brother, a great friend, a generous uncle and cousin.  In all these ways and more he made our lives richer and fuller.  He lives on in our memories and stories and in what all of us have become because of him. Love from your siblings: Larry, Lorain, David, Clarice, Loretta, Dwight, Paul, Evonne, LeVonne.  Missed but never forgotten.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Monday, October 8, 2018, at the Walker- Walnut Hills Chapel, 1025 E. McMillan Street , Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery, 3701 Vine Street, Cincinnati, 45220.
