He was the eldest of six children born to the late Robert and Anna Kate (Rogers) Chappell. He went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Christ Hospital, following a brief illness. He received his education in North College Hill City Schools. He was employed for over forty years to Jim Beam Company. He retired in 2006. Affectionately known as "Chuck", he was an avid fisherman, and always looked forward to annual fishing trips with family and friends. Chuck had a great love for his family, a heart for people, and an engaging sense of humor. He was a faithful member of Inspirational Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Chappell, and grandson, Robert Chappell, IV. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of thirty-three years, Nancy Chappell, two sons, Robert (Tangela) Chappell and Randy (Katrina) Chappell, both of Cincinnati, daughter, Janel Lamb of Phoenix, Arizona, three brothers, Pete (Janet) Chappell of Dayton, Ohio, Anthony (Marie) Chappell and Terry (Kim) Chappell, both of Cincinnati, sister, Dian Scott, and sister-in-law, Laura Ann Chappell, both of Cincinnati, life-lomg friends, Roy Merell and Howard McConnell, three uncles, Singer (Hazel) Chappell of Cleveland, Fred Murray of Cincinnati, and James (Minnie) Murray of Cincinnati, three aunts, Beatrice (Samuel) Norton of Cleveland, Eula M. Chappell of Sparta, Georgia, and Warlean Smith of Cincinnati, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, and many, many friends. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at the Inspirational Baptist Church - City of Destiny, 11450 Sebring Drive, Forest Park (45240). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Interment is in Spring Grove Cemetery at Cincinnati, Ohio. You may express online condolences at www.HerbWalker.com.
