Obituary

Robert J. 'Bobby' Daniels Bobby was born on April 3, 1941. He departed to his heavenly home on Monday, March 9, 2015 after a lengthy illness. He was the only son of Mrs. Dorothy J. Daniels Adams' marriage to Mr. Robert J. Daniels Sr. Bobby was very loved by all of his family. Bobby had another father, as his Mother became wed to Mr. James F. Adams who departed in 2001 for heaven. Bobby was blessed to have three parents that loved him. His father, Robert Daniels Sr. passed away while Bobby was young. Bobby attended Hughes High School and graduated while finishing classes early during his Senior year. He enjoyed studying with his Aunt, his Mother's sister, Patricia A. Henderson. Bobby had a nickname in high school and college as 'Cool Shake'. He was a member of the 'Co-Qs' social club at Hughes High School where he was always very popular. Prior to graduating from Hughes High School, his Mother and Father, James and Dorothy Adams, with Little Sherri( Sister) in tow, gave him a huge graduation party in their home in Avonview. The party was to congratulate him from graduating from Hughes High School. This was prior to driving him to attend his Freshman year at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. The family was so proud! He was a Business major. After attending Ohio University, Bobby was recruited to the American Tobacco Company. He was an outstanding salesman, whereas his territory was increased, and offers of relocation to New York and other places, that he turned down to keep his family in Cincinnati. Later Bobby became the top salesman at many companies. His new family was, his then wife, Sharon Jule Clark Daniels of Dayton. Sharon and Bobby wed in a huge wedding at Zion Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Dr. L. Venchael Booth in 1963. The marital union brought three loved and pretty daughters. Michael Renee Daniels (Atlanta), Shelli Lynn Daniels and Sherri Cromwell Harris. Michael and Shelli are very successful professionals. Their accomplishments was their Father's pride and joy. He constantly talked about them. He had one sibling, Sherri Adams-Davis. Sherri followed in her big brother's foot steps and attended Ohio University after graduating Walnut Hills. She looked up to her brother. They were close, and she misses him tremendously. She will always have fond memories. He was Always keeping in touch with his classmates from Ohio University and Hughes. Zion Baptist Church is where he was a member. His family has been members of Zion Baptist for 163 years . Michael K. J. Davis II is his nephew, son of Sherri Adams-Davis, his sister, and Michael Davis I. Bobby would refer to him as 'Nephew'. He was very proud of Michael and all of his accomplishments. Robert J. Daniels is survived by his loving Mother, Mrs. Dorothy J. Adams. She loved her son dearly, and he loved his Mother dearly. It's been very hard to see her son leave for his home above. He is survived by his two cherished daughters, Michael Renee and Shelli. He loved them both dearly and they loved him. He also is survived by a granddaughter Lindsey S. A. Daniels, daughter of Shelli, and Julien Daniels, son of Michael Renee. Bobby was very proud of his grandchildren. Survived also by Michael Davis II, nephew, son of sister, Sherri. Survived also by an Aunt, Patrician A. Henderson ( New York ), who they attended elementary school, junior high and high school and church together. They were very close . Also survived by her son, his cousin, J. Todd Henderson of Wisconsin, and his wife, LaToya and children Ava and Mason . He leaves behind best friends Earl Prophet, Kenneth Sloan, Virgil Pierce, Rollinson, and many more. Bobby also leaves his Godmother, Mrs. Rubena Hubert (Maryland) and her sons Freddie, Richard, and Thorn. Also host of friends and cousins. To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. We love you Bobby!!! Visit with the family on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 1:30 pm until time of service at 2:30 pm at Walker Funeral Home, 1025 E McMillan Street, 45206
