ROBERT ( BOB) DENSON was born on September 16, 1943, to the late Claudia and Cliff Denson in Covington, Alabama. His early years were spent as a native of the Lincoln Height's Community where he also attended and graduated Lincoln Height's Public schools prior to joining the United States Army where he excelled in military duties. Mr. Denson's advanced Military credits include: Air Borne, Gunner, Drill Sargent, Bush Soldier, Marksman and two tours of duty in the Viet Nam War where he was awarded two Purple Heart's for gallantry and injuries obtained during his service career. Mr. Denson stood guard during the funeral of John F. Kennedy as well as many other dedicated duties while in service to our county. Married to Dianne Hunter Denson, who preceeded him in death. He retired from the United States Post Office after 34 yrs. of service. A great lover of family and dedicated grandfather who held a passion for his grandchildren. A Jokester who could pluck one's last nerve and offer his assistance for their every need, all in the same breath. An extremely well traveled educated man and talented Artist who proudly acknowledged his heritage and gracefully retained contact with his friends and comrad's. While he will be greatly missed, there is peace in knowing, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Mr. Denson leaves to cherish his memories: A daughter, Dianna Lynn Hunter, Bacarri Hunter, Bre'Nea Hunter, Brooklyn Hunter, Brazyhia Hunter, Brealynn Hunter, Blake DuBose, Great Grandson Brandon Hunter Jr. A lifelong Dear Friend Mr. Ted Daugherty ( Joyce), a host of nieces, relatives, and many, many dear friends. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at the Walker- Walnut Hills Chapel, 1025 E. McMillan Street, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery, 440 W 3rd Street, Dayton, 45428.
