Beamon was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 10, 1928 to James A. Beamon and Eunice Beamon. He is the second child of four brothers and two sisters. He is preceded in death by his father and mother; brothers, James, Charles, Melvin, John Beamon and sister, Eunice Hill. Robert served in the United States Navy from July 7, 1952 until July 6, 1956 and received an Honorable Discharge. Robert worked at Dave Fish & Poultry as a Fish Processor. His son, Ricardo Beamon preceded him in death. He leaves behind his wife, Edna Parker; sister, Grace Knapper (Billy); sisters-in-law, Levonia Beamon (John) and Mattie Henry (Melvin); daughters, Wanda Baskin, Robbie, Germanita (Buttercup), son, Robert Raglin (Paula); grandchildren, Robert, Lamel, Orlando, Marino, Dalericco Parker, and Ceauntay Raglin; stepsons, Reggie, June and Jerry Raglin; 14 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
