Robbie "Rob"  Roy May 1, 1965 - February 20, 2023

Rob Roy, age 57,  of Lockland, Ohio passed away on February 20, 2023. Rob was born to loving parents, Otto and Ruby Roy (nee Harren) on May 1, 1965 in Cincinnati, Ohio. His wife, Brenda Johns, and daughter, Christy Roy-Godfrey, were blessed to hear his last "I love you" together, just as Rob wanted it to be.

Rob worked as a carpet technician, rising to Operations Division Manager of Widmer's Carpet Cleaners. He channeled his love of sports to coach everything from Little League Football to High School Girls' Basketball. Not only did he coach athletes, he channeled that mentorship to include coaching new employees in his trade. His guidance touched hundreds of players, employees, and friends.

Robbie is survived by wife, Brenda Johns; daughter, Christy Roy-Godfrey; son-in-law, Brent Godfrey; brother, Terry Roy; sister-in-law, Ruth Roy (nee Hatfield); niece Elizabeth Van Gelder (nee Roy); best friend, Tom Carter; and friend, Rick Thamann, along with many members of the the Johns and Schierloh family. Robbie was predeceased by his parents, Otto and Ruby Roy (nee Hersell); grandmother, Lennie Jeffers; brother, Timothy Roy; sisters, Diane Roy and Sandra Lee Hersell; and beloved nephew, Michael Roy.

Rob's family invites friends and loved ones to his Celebration of Life Open House on March 11, 2023 from 3:00 - 6:00 pm at the Village of Lockland Town Hall, 101 North Cooper Avenue, Lockland, Ohio 45215.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
