IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ricky Allen
Baskin
April 15, 1973 – April 19, 2025
Ricky Allen Baskin was born on April 15, 1973, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was known as a ladies' man and will be remembered not only for his love of food but also for his unwavering faith, boundless love, infectious laughter, and enduring legacy of kindness. He was also remembered as the biggest Bengals fan. Ricky had a special talent for bringing humor to any situation, often turning a frown into a smile.
Ricky was always a very handsome man with a great personality, a warm smile, and jokes that could win anyone over. He was a family man—a devoted father and grandfather—who leaves behind a multitude of cherished memories that will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to know him.
During his school years, Ricky attended Rothenberg Elementary, where he was an honor roll student. He graduated from Washington Park in the sixth grade. He later attended Withrow High School and eventually earned his GED.
Ricky leaves behind treasured memories with his mother, Michelle Baskin, and his father, Rickey Owensby Sr. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas "Manny," with whom he is now reunited in heaven.
He is also survived by his grandparents: Shirley Baskin; Author Sherer; and Essie & Roy Owensby; as well as his step-parents, Ruby and Timothy Branch. Ricky leaves behind his sisters: Shirley, Farmiesha, and Nicole; and his brothers: Tonio and Angelo.
His legacy lives on through his children: Brooklyn, Rickell, Rickia, Rashayla, Keydora, Naysha, Parris, Ricky Jr., Rahkim, Marciano, Tyquine, Kareem, and Jamar, and through his grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206).
