Obituary

Richard Jerode Ginyard, age 50, passed away February 16, 2014. He was born in Cincinnati on December 13, 1963, Funeral Services 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 25 at Walker Funeral Home, 1025 E. Share special messages with the Ginyard family at www.HerbWalker.com. or call 513.251.6200. Richard Jerode Ginyard was born on December 13, 1963 to Ethel Elouise Ginyard and Richard Charles Waddell. He was the eighth child born to them in Cincinnati, Ohio. Richard attended Schiel Elementary and Winton Place Elementary, he also attended Campbell Jr. High and moved on to Aiken Sr. High School. After being at Aiken for a time, Richard decided to enlist in the Army where he received an Honorable Discharge on February 10, 1992. Also, while there in Texas he obtained his GED on October 13, 1982. Richard attended Cambridge College where he took up Word Processing. In 2011, Rick received his certification in Nurse Aide from Joliet Junior College in Illinois. Rick loved working in the nursing field. He took great care of all his residents, which also included two of his sisters. One of his greatest accomplishments was a book of spiritual and uplifting poems he wrote called 'Journey of Dreams'. He was also a great singer and dancer. Rick was one of the well dressed, soft spoken men around. Rick was baptized at an early age at New Nazarene Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Elmo Hillman and Rev. Worley Frazier. Rick had a very personal and close relationship with God. His mother and father preceded him in death. Richard leaves to mourn: 10 sisters, Cassandra 'Sandra', Denise 'Peggy', Marian 'Teenie', Jackie, Tracey, Toni, Joyce and Nahketha 'Big Nikki', Ella Kay and Sheila; a host of nieces and nephews, LaTonya, Angie, Damion, Pamela, Amber, Cheylon, Brandon, Ebony, Qianna, Krystal, Emily 'Shae', Ronald 'Face', Deangelo, Mario, and Aries. Nahketha 'Nikki' who preceded him in death. Nicholas, Nahiesha, Larry, and a large host of great and great-great nieces and nephews. Also a very, very dear friend, Jackie Fox and other family members and friends.
