Ricardo Lamont Powell, affectionately known as " Pretty Ricky" was  the son of the late Joan Nix and Joseph Adams.  He departed this life to live among the angels on  December 14, 2020,  at age 57.

Ricardo was born in Cincinnati, Ohio where he also accepted Christ at Lincoln Heights Baptist Church. Ricardo graduated from Colerain High school, after school he began his career as a Construction worker for over 35 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Nix, and other loved ones.

He was passionate about his music, loved to write, and compose songs. He also loved to cook, watch sports, care for his dogs, and hang out with family or friends. He was a great friend to many and had a great laid-back personality.

Ricardo leaves to mourn his memories to his Aunt Lois and Uncle Herbert;  children,  Bonita Bennett, Ricardo Powell, Jo'Anna Powell, Ryanne Taylor, Meagan Spurling, and Hope Adams;  siblings,  Kimberly Chenault, Angela Powell, Kelly Adams, Keisha Adams, and Kevin Adams; grandchildren,  Gabriela Cedano and  Ashton Powell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at the Walker Event Center, 3939 Reading Road (Corner of Reading and Paddock), Cincinnati  (45229).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Everyone attending must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232.

In keeping with the Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions masks are required in order to enter  the service and social distancing must be practiced.  Please be prepared to comply for the safety of all.
