Ricardo Peter Dukes was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of Laura Dukes (nee Edwards) and the late Rudolph Dukes on January 18, 1959.  Ricardo was often called Rick, Rick Rags or Hazel by his close friends and family.  He attended Cincinnati public schools and graduated from Woodward High School, Class of 1977-1978. He served in the US Navy.  After working at different jobs in construction, he then started his own business.  He enjoyed table tennis and watching most sports on TV.  His favorite team was the Steelers.  Rick had a very infectious laugh, which will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph and brother, Anthony.  He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, "Baby Girl", Laura A.; mother, Laura L.; brothers, Ra'Shon, Terrence, Demetrius, Sr. and Todd Dukes; cousin, John Morton Edwards; uncle, John Edwards, Jr. (Joyce); aunts, Iva, Deborah, Lucille, Gwendolyn Edwards; nephews, Demetrius II, Brandon; nieces, Cherneka, Alexis, Kyla and Asia Erin; great nephews, Demetrius III, Tommy Davis, Jr. and Zymire and many other cousins, friends and other relatives.  It is with sadness we announce the heavenly transition of Ricardo Peter Dukes, age 63, who entered eternal rest on Monday, May 9, 2022, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Friday, May 20, 2022, at the Church Of The Resurrection, 1619 California Avenue, Cincinnati  (45237).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

In keeping with CDC Covid19 Guidelines, we encourage those who are not fully vaccinated to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
