ReVonne
Coleman
August 24, 1967 — May 13, 2026
ReVonne “Vonnie” Coleman, age 58, of Cincinnati, Ohio, peacefully departed this life. She was born on August 24, 1967, to the late Robert Eugene Smith Sr. and Jeanette ReVonne Coleman Smith.
ReVonne was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend whose kindness, strength, and warmth touched everyone blessed to know her.
She attended Burton Elementary School and later graduated from Woodward High School in Cincinnati, Ohio.
ReVonne dedicated 22 years of service to Lincoln Crawford Nursing Home, where she faithfully cared for residents with compassion, patience, and love. Her coworkers and residents became like extended family, and she took great pride in helping others every day.
Family meant everything to ReVonne. She was a devoted mother who loved all of her children deeply and found great joy in nurturing and supporting them throughout their lives. She opened her heart and home to countless children who were not hers by birth but became hers through love. To many, she was a second mother—a source of guidance, comfort, wisdom, and unconditional support. She was overjoyed to become a grandmother and treasured every moment spent with her grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Jeanette Smith, and her brother, Robert Eugene Smith Jr.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Phillip Forte Jr. and Jeanette ReVonne Coleman; her beloved grandson, Niyar Amir Reid, whom she considered one of her greatest gifts; her bonus sons, John Nixon and Danyell Lanier, whom she loved as her own; her sister, Robin Coleman; her niece, Shantay Coleman; her nephews, Elijah Byndon, Robert Smith III, and Frank Randle III; her great-nephews, Jay’Shon Betts, Jay’Von Betts, and Jay’Ceon Coleman; along with a host of extended family members, loved ones, and dear friends.
Vonnie will be remembered for her unwavering love, generous heart, beautiful spirit, and the way she opened both her home and her heart to those she loved. No one who knew her will ever forget her famous pickles, which brought smiles to so many and became one of the many ways she shared her love.
Though she is no longer with us physically, the love, laughter, guidance, and memories she shared will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandson, family, and all the lives she touched.
